Hello everyone. I am thinking about getting one of the TKL Aluminium Case from TEX, or a Vortex Filco TKL Aluminium Case
(both from MechanicalKeyboards.com) to upgrade one of my TKL mech in my possession.
I am wondering whether the Aluminium Case (both from TEX and Vortex) would fit in any one of my TKL keyboards:
Leopold FC750R, QuickFire Rapid and Quickfire Stealth. I heard that the Vortex case would fit the QFR pretty well, but I am
not 100% sure as of yet. Apparently after installing the aluminium case from Vortex, I would need to mod the cables to make it fit.
Does anyone have experience in this mod before? Specifically for the QFR or Leopold? I am really interested in modding my
keyboard but too nervous about shelling out $150+ for an aluminium case I am unsure would fit (or would know how to mod in the first place). Please help this novice modder. Thanks!

I don't think Leopold has any compatible aluminum cases for the 750R, if they did MK.com would probably list it as a compatible board for the TEX case considering they stock the 750R

Qfr will fit, not sure if the stealth will. The Leopold most likely wont fit due to the plate design being different. I have a gray version if you have any questions.

Glad to hear that it works for the QFR. Will both of them work? Which one do you have right now?
Say that I purchase either the Tex TKL Aluminium Case or Vortex Filco TKL Aluminium Case for my QFR,
how do I mod the cables so that it can be compatible? I understand that the detachable USB function cannot be utilized
anymore once you installed the aluminium case.
