Title: *SOLVED* Trouble flashing new firmware to GH60 SATAN (tkg toolkit)
Post by: h1ggs on Fri, 13 May 2016, 16:28:50
Hey all,

Just built a gh60 satan from sennin32 on ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/272032784852?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT)

All the switches work correctly when plugged in - but the LED's dont. So I figure I need to flash some new firmware on there to toggle it.

I followed this guide: http://imgur.com/a/rfezG

The problem is when I go to reflash the firmware, the prompt asks me to press the reset button. When I do this, nothing happens. I do notice that the device manager picks up the keyboard as atmu32u4 - which matches what's said in the prompt.

Here is a screenshot of what I'm getting after I press the reset button (on the underside of the pcb)

For some reason the script just isn't recognizing the keyboard.. pressing the reset button does infact reset the hardware, because I can see it pop up on the device manager. Does anyone know what I'm missing here??

Seriously thanks if you can help me out on this one.  :thumb:

** SOLVED **

Incase anyone has this problem in the future - download zadig, go to options list all devices > select the gh60 from the drop down list (atm32u4) and install the usb driver. After that the tkg toolkit should recognize when the device goes into bootloader mode.

Here she is with LEDs working!

Hey I recently got one of these as well and I followed the same guide. When I go to flash the eeprom it wants to flash the default hex instead even though I followed that guide step for step. Any help?

Hi, I'm the seller Sennin32 who runs doyu studio on ebay.
If you have the same layout after reflash, it must fails.
Assume your eep works.
1. You didn't drag correct eep.
2. Didn't push button behind.
3. You flash wrong driver.
See https://github.com/kairyu/tkg-toolkit
It contains all driver you need.
