Title: Looking for standard 6GV2 en-us keycaps
Post by: philberndt on Sun, 15 May 2016, 13:56:57
Hello I am new to this forum!, I live in Norway and obviously you can buy mostly Nordic keyboards, but the fact that I dont speak Norwegian and I communicate 99% in English for work has me hunting for en-us keycaps for the Steelseries 6GV2.. unfortunately.. because of the layout of this keyboard, they are really hard to find. Anyone can push me in the right direction?

I have no idea of how available they are to you but the universal keysets by max keyboards are offered up in a few variants (black blank, side printed black/white, and top printed black/white). The universal set should cover your 1.25u left shift, 1.75u right shift, and the big ass enter key. Man, I'm almost 100% positive that the left shift is 1.25u. Hard to tell with that picture. That is one challenging layout!

it seems that the big ass enter key is different on max, I took a look at it before. This is the layout, I have no clue what it means...

Looks right, hmmm that picture is missing a bunch of the keys though. If you check out the universal set you'll notice that the set is in two sections. The second section has all the non-standard keys. According to Deskthority a normal Big ass enter key is 1.5u x 2.25u (top/bottom) or ~29mm x 43mm. So if your keycap fits that measurement you're golden. The slim version of the big ass enter key is noticeably different.

For future reference, you can find them on Taobao and Aliexpress, w/ the latter being easier to use but also marked up.
