Browsed this forum a few times before, but only picked up my first MK yesterday (The Corsair Strafe RGB with MX Silents that's on sale) so I thought I'd join. Lots of stuff to read, and hopefully I can pick up a few cool key caps in the future!

Welcome to geekhack!. How's the MX Silents? Do you like it? For MX linear switches, I only have experienced with red and black. Don't like them as much as the tactile ones (brown and clear). However, everyone has his/her own preference.

Thanks! I like this keyboard, though I don't have much to compare to it. I tried some of the floor models at Best Buy, but it's hard to compare the volume of the keys in a busy retail store vs at home. I think the Logitech G910 may have been quieter, but I like the feel of the MX silents a lot more. I tried the blues also, but I think they were too clicky for me even without considering the volume.

Welcome to Geekhack!
Trying a keyboard before you buy is always good, although the shop environments are rarely the same as your home environment. Still it should give you a good first impression whether you hate the switch, or could give it a try.
I'm also curious whether the slightly shorted travel distance is noticable, and whether it is an improvement of just a difference.
