Title: Hello!
Post by: sandman0o0 on Tue, 17 May 2016, 07:48:37
I figured it's about time I create an account here.  I've been a longtime reader/lurker.  As far as boards go, I have various Model M's that were once daily drivers.  On my desk currently is a CM Storm TK with MX Blues and an IBM 3151 w/ the tkl Model M.  I also have a KC60 incoming from the latest massdrop listing.  Anyway, glad I finally created account here!

Cheers!

Welcome to Geekhack!

Model M keyboards are great - I've got 5 :D

Nothing like having "too many" (if that even means anything).

MX blues are a bit light compared to buckling springs - have you tried MX greens?  Just like blues but heavier, probably about as close as an MX switch gets to buckling springs.

What switches will be in your KC60?  Blues again, or did you take the opportunity to try a different switch?

There's never a "too many" when it comes to Model M's.

I agree with you on the MX blues.  I've tried MX greens and really liked them, so that's what I went with for the KC60.

Now I just need to be patient... that's the worst part!

Patience will serve you well here, especially if you join a group buy ;)

I've noticed..hopefully it's not delayed as previous kc60 buys.  I may give in and track down a pok3r in the mean time.

You know you want a Pok3r - this is a good excuse to get one ... ;)

But if you ever find yourself tempted to buy a few too many nice things, there's always this thread (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=67980.0).
