Well, it all started with me looking back at the Apple Extended Keyboards, and wanting to see what it be to type on them. Ultimately, I couldn't really find either a well priced one, or one that was in decent shape. I then turned to Amazon to see what I could find. I typed in "keyboard," noticed that there were those that could be priced above $100, and saw the Poker 3 (Clears). I guess you could call it love at first sight! I immediately fell in love with the feeling of typing on this keyboard.
I then saw that there were artisans. "Oh cool, I guess it'd be nice to have one of those." And well, now I'm in the process of debating of whether I should get a FC660C or an HKKB Pro 2. Oh, and I already ordered some blanks for my Poker 3. It's been a costly journey, but one that I've enjoyed thoroughly and have not regretted.
I hope to enjoy my time here at GH :)

Welcome to Geekhack!
I'm still looking for an AEK II! Although there are not many down here generally anyway.
There's a few threads comparing the HHKB Pro 2 with the FC660C, such as these:

Overall people seem to prefer the HHKB, but if the white FC660C had been available when I was looking for a Topre keyboard I probably would have got the FC660C instead.
As it is, I'm happy with my HHKB :)

Argh that's the thing. If Leopold would release blank keycaps, it would make me that much more convinced to go for the FC660C :'(

Look for an early FC660C - some of the legends were so badly done that they rub off after a few weeks use :p
