Title: Hello from Melbourne, Australia
Post by: jjanssen1 on Sun, 29 May 2016, 03:58:26
Hey everyone,
My name is Joshua and I am a 14 y.o from Melbourne, Australia.
In the near future I am thinking of building a 60% NeRD keyboard.
Here is what I am thinking:
PCB: NeRD 60 PCB
Switches: Cherry MX Blues
LEDs: Red LEDs
Case: TEX 60% Aluminum Case -Black
Cable: Custom www.Pexonpcs.co.uk usb cable
Keycaps: WASD Keyboards 61 custom keycap set + (Hopefully) Clack Candy Corn or Oktoberfest cap
Plate: Plateless :)
If anyone has any feedback/ideas I would like to hear them
Cheers
-Joshua

Welcome to Geekhack!

Unfortunately there's not many keyboard stores in Australia.

PCCG (https://www.pccasegear.com/) has a reasonable range of keyboards (in Melbourne too), but no parts.

MechKB (https://mechkb.com) has keyboards and (some) parts, in Sydney.

Apart from that, you'll end up ordering most of your parts from the US.

Have you also considered a GH60?  Now (or soon?) available at Techkeys: https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=79930.0

Oh whoops, another Austrailian; welcome! I guess shipping from mechanicalkeyboards.com could be a tad bit expensive

It is, but they provide excellent service (not sure about returns though), and sometimes it's the only option as there is not a huge range of keyboard stuff down here.
