Has anyone ever seen or used one of these (http://www.datahand.com/)? Looks interesting to say the least.
-
I know webwit has a Datahand, I think it's the Pro, not sure about it being the II.
Just search the forum for it.
EDIT:-
It is indeed the Pro II according to his Signature. $1000 new according to that link. Much as I think they would be simply amazing when you got used to them (and I suspect that would take some time after nearly 15yrs on an M), I can't lash out that kind of money to try it.

I have never seen a keyboard like that before. I wonder how it feels to use a datahand. maybe I'll ask Webwit.
-
Much as I avoid slitting my throat, there's one on eBay now, with my 250 USD bid at the moment.
-
I'm not going to bid on that auction (not anymore!), I think I've seen the DH-200 models go for $300-$500. If there is a latest generation PRO II (never saw one of those on Ebay), I'm thinking I'll throw $800 at it in the last 10 seconds. Datahands website says they have a few currently, I'll hopefully be in touch with Lynn next week for some information.
I hope somebody here wins it and writes a no-holds-barred, tell-all story.
Now I gotta go do something to get my self-respect back. (Did I actually say I will spend $800 on a keyboard???)
-
i'd love to try one, one day, but it's far too expensive for me
-
They are expensive and there is some room for improvement in the design, so I don't plan to buy one soon.
But I said the same thing about the HHKB Pro just before I bought one.:decision:

Was outbid. I hope someone from here, or at least someone who really appreciates it.

Yeah, that was me.
Oops. :kev:
(BTW, what the hell is that Hebrew smiley? It either reads "milk" or "the heart" - pretty sure it's the latter.)
