I ordered a set of ALPS keycaps months ago, and since I don't obsessively check my Massdrop orders and just assumed the products will show up whenever they show up, I didn't realize the keycaps had already shipped and showed that it had arrived on Jan 1 this year. But I never got any email notifications that it shipped, and I never received anything. When I tried contacting Massdrop about it, they tell me it's been too long and they can't do anything about it, and refused to give me a refund or send me the missing keycaps. They tell me to take it up with USPS, but when I tried to file a claim with USPS, their guideline said that it has to be within 60 days.
So basically I paid money and got nothing. Extremely frustrating. Anyone else had a similar experience? Any advice?

Did you pay with paypal? I would just file a dispute.

I recently opened a box from Massdrop that was supposed to be the Mionix Naos mouse, delivered mid-January, and it turns out it was the Avior instead. I contacted support and they had me submit some pictures, not sure if they'll give me a refund or a replacement or anything yet. Not really similar but just some more data.
What does the tracking info at Massdrop say?

I paid with a credit card. Maybe I can file a dispute with the bank.
The tracking number listed leads to an error message: https://tools.usps.com/go/TrackConfirmAction_input?qtc_tLabels1=9400110200883918828309
But on the Massdrop transaction page, it says it was delivered on Jan 1st.
So what does that mean? Does the USPS delete tracking information after a certain amount of time?

They do stop hosting the tracking info online after some time, though I have had some success calling them and asking for the information when it was required for PayPal disputes.
I would definitely consider contacting your credit card issuer and explaining the situation.

Likewise, I had a package with 2 cheap keycap sets delivered nearly a year ago. I only bothered checking through one of those sets as I was lazy. When I finally got around to opening the second set last week, I found that some keys were missing and there were duplicates of others. I have not contacted customer support yet but I wouldn't blame them if they could not resolve it (after all, it's kinda my fault for not checking through everything much earlier).

I suppose it's good practice to check your order status on your transactions page at least once a fortnight, and check through the whole package immediately upon receiving it...

They told me they're sending me the keycaps, but it's not their regular policy to do so after so long has passed. I haven't received it yet (not even a tracking number yet), so we'll see.

I wonder what their official window for missing/incorrect orders is.
