This switch is gray (silver?) and aimed for speed (and named so). The force is similar to red, but the travel reduced from 1.9 mm to 1.2 mm. Seems only available for Corsair now.

Isn't that essentially what Razer does?Razers switches are modified Kailh Blues that actuate higher up and have less hysteresis but their travel distance is the same.
And ALPS switches already actuate higher up and are usually better than MX anyway :))

Topre is introducing a keyboard where you have 3 different settings for actuation point.
On topic: Wonder how much of a difference this really makes in apn games like SC2.

So many of the really good gamers "float" the switches at just the actuation point, I'm not sure they would be impressed. Those really top-end gamers might be more interested in a lower/faster reset than where the actuation point is.

I had collected info in The DT wiki (https://deskthority.net/wiki/Cherry_MX_Silver), but not seen anything new to enter since April 28.

I thought the actuation distance was a property of the Kailh switches ... which Razer chose to blew up as a feature because only to justify the change to another manufacturer.

I've got it. They'll just use a projector keyboard but it will come with a plate for mounting Cherry caps that aligns with the projector.
I can see it already.
