Title: What online game repositories are there?
Post by: rowdy on Thu, 09 June 2016, 05:48:55
There's Steam and GOG.  What other ones are there?

There's Humble Bundle, but those are almost always given out as Steam keys.

Reason I'm asking is GOG have some games on special that I'd like to get, but I think I've bought them already.  They are not in my Steam or GOG account - where else might they be?

Green Man Gaming, Uplay, and Origin are the others that jump out at me right now.

Thanks for the suggestions, but nope, none of the above.

It's the NWN Diamond Edition I was looking at.  I have the DVD (or were they CD back then) installation media for the original game and both official expansion packs, but not the other add-ons.

I'm sure I bought that somewhere before.

This time there is a pack including a few other RPG games that is tempting.

Anywhere else that might have had NWN online at one stage?

Origin or UPlay maybe? EA and Ubisoft's respective online repositories.

Haven't heard of UPlay, but Origin sounds familiar.

I've requested a password reset and it didn't object to my email address, but the email hadn't arrived by the time I left for work this morning.

I did check my emails for Origin and any other account information that I could find, but nothing jumped out (except Steam and GOG).

Green Man Gaming is awesome! Especially if you enjoy 90s and early 00s PC games.

Do you mean green man gaming or good old games?

I managed to reset my Origin password, logged in, and have only one game there, which was a freebie when I signed up (and probably the reason I signed up).

Still no sign of NWN in any of my game lists.

Still can't find it, so I just bought it (again) from GOG.

If anyone can think of any other online game repositories, please keep posting.

I've probably got a stash of games somewhere I've forgotten about!

Ok, NWN (re-)purchased and downloaded.

You kids don't know how easy you have it buying computer games these days :p

I've been listening to the soundtrack (an extra included by GOG) and wish I had the time to start playing it now.
