Title: Cheap Plugs for Headphone/Mic Jacks
Post by: SCTony on Sun, 27 December 2009, 08:41:53
I was concerned about dust and dirt getting into the seldom-used jack on my MP4 player- 3.5mm Mic jack. I was refilling an ink cartridge and the kit contained silicone plugs for sealing the refill hole which happen to work great for sealing out dust from a 3.5mm jack. They fit almost flush so no snagging problems. I found them on eBay Canada cheap- 5 for $1. Nifty.

These are silicone "Plugs for refilling Canon BCI, CLI & PGI cartridges" .

Oops... these came in the mail today and they are different than the ones that were in the refill kit, though they look the same. These Canon plugs are a bit too large in diameter to fit in a 1/8 inch jack. I am trying to locate the correct ones. I apologize if anyone acted on this- pm me if you did please.
