I remember coming on here years back and the classifieds section was filled with Filcos. What happened? Trying to look for a buyer for my fullsize Majestouch isn't looking too good. :(
-
THIS IS OFF TOPIC
-
Filcos are just fine, however they're just off-the-shelf boards, whereas these days people on gh seem to be more interested in custom builds and topre than previous years
i see filcos being sold on /r/mechmarket though
-
Mostly there became better options at the the filco price point, or similar quality at a lower one.
Filco has stayed pretty much the same and other companies have better options for the money.
-
isn't there literally a thread asking if Filco is still a good brand, filled with dozens of answers saying "yes, yes it is"

No, no one is using filcos anymore =)

KUL happened, and people finally realizes that Leopold offering are superior.

The Filco ping did the murder!
Just kidding, that doesn't exist.
-
My guess is that most people who wanted a Filco have one now and dont want to sell them. I do also feel like Filco as a company hasnt changed much, dont think Ive read about any new models since I first found out about them. Even back then they didnt have anything "new"
Great keyboards Im sure and they have some awesome cases, but really at that price the market really opens up to some super interesting choices
-
they're pretty good and don't afraid of anything.
Mine is quite enjoyable. They're just a solid Costar board.
-
People still use them.
People still buy them.
They are still recommended, although there are so many more good keyboards around these days.
Or maybe it's the Urban Dictionary's definition of the name that puts people off ...

I still love my MJ2's. I'll always hang on to my beige ones.
If you were selling a TKL you'd probably have more people interested.
