Title: Longtime Lurker & Injection Molding Enthusiast
Post by: hossfly on Fri, 17 June 2016, 16:03:20
Much respect for this community. Looks like everyone has a lot of fun with this hobby. I'm really interested in learning more about the casting process: prototyping, mold design, injection molding, and material selection.

Welcome ye yonder injection molding enthusiast :D

I'm curious, what sparked your mention of injection molding?

Thanks! I've been working with the technology for about 2 years now, mainly for prototyping purposes. I've created silicon, aluminum, and MDF molds for various projects. Just happened to stumble upon the artisan caps one day while looking up mods for my pok3r. Really awesome community here at GH!

Good looking out. I've just sifted through Binge and Booper's threads. Awesome that they share information like that. The ~$ynth project is well documented too. I dig the modular mold design! Can't wait to learn more!

Whoa, so you've actually made die molds for injecting ABS?

Pictures please  (Don't mind me heh, I'm part of the curious folk)

Most, if not all, of our artisans are more than happy to share their knowledge, which is absolutely fantastic! :)
