Title: Entry level power carver?
Post by: Lain1911 on Sat, 18 June 2016, 17:27:55
I know there are threads about soldering irons for putting keyboards and things together, but does anyone know much about using power carvers in order to make designs in wooden keyboard cases or wooden keycaps or for that matter just any type of art design when it comes to wood?

My story is I got some poplar logs from a friend that cut down a tree and I'll be making a wood/glass computer table but I want to do something with the logs such as engraving a design or picture. I want to know about power carvers and where to start if anyone knows.

Thanks!
I'll be posting pictures once the wood drys out and I figure out what I want to do.
