Title: Stabilizer Question: Costar or Cherry?

As I am gathering parts to build a ComPactSQ, I am at a crossroads on deciding which stabilizers to use. (Costar came with the parts)
When pulling keycaps off and cleaning boards, I find the Costar's to be very annoying and troublesome because I always think I'll end up breaking the keycap inserts. In an effort to avoid this issue, I have found Cherry stabilizers but am unsure of their stabilizing ability and how they compare to Costar.

Question: Are Cherry stabs equal to Costar? Is there any noticeable difference between the two?
If Cherry isn't any good, what is an alternative that doesn't involve the wires being attached to the cap?

Cherry is just as good as Costar in my opinion, as long as you clip and lube them.

Cherry are hugely popular so you shouldn't have any concern about them being up to the task.  Most Korean customs use Cherry PCB mount.

Costar is more forgiving of slight irregularities in stem placement on keycaps, especially the larger keycaps.

if your only concern is breaking the Costar inserts, you can buy more of them from a few places.
