Title: Embedding a big trackball into an ergo keyboard - in the triangle in the middle
Post by: ibu on Wed, 30 December 2009, 14:44:48
Did anyone embedded a big (optical) trackball (~5cm) into a splittable ergo keyboard (like the cherry G80-5000) - in the middle, in the triangle in between the two halfs?
I've never build something "with electronics" before, but I imagine, that it could be ergonomically highly interesting to reach the trackball directly with your thumbs without leaving the standard typing position with your hands.
I know trackpoints, but I don't like them. I prefer (big) trackballs.
