Hello,
After a while my Enter and backspace caps started to "peel". I called Deck and they were ultra nice and sent a replacement Enter key.
I thought it might have been an isolated problem. But the replacement key starting to peel as well... :'(
Any other users experiencing the same?

100+ views no response... Hmmm...
Let me rephrase the question - Anyone with Deck Hassium or Francium out there?
-
Are the ABS keycaps with normal type legends or PBT with the really funky font? If I was to take a guess my guess would be that they're ABS with UV or maybe anti-biosis coating. Why would they put anti-biosis or UV coating on the PBT doubleshots? For those reading ahead, I doubt that Deck would coat their doubleshot PBT keycaps; that would be ridiculous. Although, there are some companies that coat doubleshot PBT keycaps so..

Sorry you're having to deal with crummy keys, curious if it's their abs or pbt set as I think the boards ship with either depending on region. I've got a Hassium pro I've been using and enjoying since December. It's the one with back-lit pbt funky font caps. I picked up a matching pbt spacebar when I got it and none of the caps show any noticeable wear at all really. Hope they get a solid set out to you.

They said they were PBT... Anyway to tell?
Those are NOT the PBT ones used in their previous generation...
I have a couple of old Decks and the caps are indestructible with funky fonts.

Deskthority has some info about the subject. (https://deskthority.net/workshop-f7/howto-determine-the-difference-between-abs-pbt-and-pom-t2739.html) AFAIK if you were to drop a keycap of PBT, ABS, and POM into a glass a water the ABS keycap will take a second or two to sink, but the PBT/POM keycap will sink immediately.
I would think that if they are PBT they would have the same texture as your other Deck PBT keycaps... Maybe they had some left over UV protection coating from their police days and decided to slather that on to a few of their keysets for some reason?

Still a mystery. I asked the Deck rep what they sent me.
Should work too. According to their end, no others reported this issue.
Too bad the Deck forum is now a dump of useless spam. So much garbage there, I think it qualifies for an award.

The color scheme of that forum probably makes all the users angry. Good god that hurts my eyeballs

Own and love my Deck Francium, i replaced the keys outright since i had the ABS ones through, they suck. Unsure about the 'new' PBT? I thought they only sold the PBT ones with that awful font..

Seems that way. The only normal looking keycaps I've seen on the nets are made of ABS
-
backlit peeling is inevitable..

I have a Hassium Pro with the PBT caps and they look almost as good as new. This after a year of continuous use.
