Title: Help! How to fix CPSQ RGB leds
Post by: rondg on Sat, 02 July 2016, 22:02:26
So I tried to desolder an rgb led on my CPSQ pcb.. and failed horribly. I did remove the led but also the solder pads. Now, there are only 2 leds that light up. Is there a way to remedy this with wires? Is this going to work?

Definitely fixable, but not like that.

I'll have a poke as it's easier with a working board and let you know :thumb:

edit: Try this, random as it looks.  Probably easier to solder the other ends of the orange then solder them together in the middle so you only have to solder one wire to the tiny LED pin.

Good luck!

Yeah, it is very bright - the case helps but I'll be turning mine down...

Great pic btw, love how the lens flare(?) joins across the middle section :thumb:
