Considering GMK minimum quantities are VERY high, how do you expect this to drop? Specific to your board with custom text will cost too much anyway.
Until very recently GMK didn't do any custom legends with doubleshot caps.Considering GMK minimum quantities are VERY high, how do you expect this to drop? Specific to your board with custom text will cost too much anyway.
If there is interest, I'll find a way. Since when has custom text been an issue?
If this works out electric blue (N5) would be nice, so we could combine with the Electric Bluegaloo modifers.Good to know
Looks like a great idea! Personally I'd love to see your Night Van in a full set on DSA, but that's my preference.
Also, GMK doesn't do custom legends unless you're willing to throw a few bucks down, or hit a certain MoQ due to their tooling (AFAIK).
One thing you can look at, or ask even, is how much the GMK Carbon Mods on MD cost. Ask t0mb3ry perhaps? The price is pretty high for custom text/legends.
i also love TA Royal Alpha set . does it in AE green?
I'm in.
I am interested. Gotta wait for the drop for minivan though :p
Why not make the mods the midnight drive text color?
But either way I would just buy it for the additional layout options.
@evangs think he's asking if the green used is gmk's AE greenAt yes, AE green
from my pointview.
1, i love the Royal Typing Writer Alpha(RTA) by Mr Moz, but the sticky touch feeling on front pad-printed prevent me from buying full set . Really, i only buy the green mod , its real color is fabulous.
2,now Mr. wilarseny have launched a GMK Nordic Pine set IC regarding green set. In his IC, i know that he will keep the lay-out as tidy and neat as possible , taking consideration into the lower price.
considerring two factors above, my suggestion is that you could make some modifications on your green MOD to match the RTA and Nordic Pine. This would attract more interest who also like green color-way. However, i have no concrete idea on which lay-out is better, if i have one , i will share here with you .
About the color-way, there are three green in GMK color card. AE, ligher green, N7 ,darker green and 3B , dull but soft green . Perhaps we could arrange three greens in a harmonious way. For example, AE legend in N7 Ctrl, N7 legend in 3B Alt , 3B legend in AE WIN or CODE or Menu or some other keys. Ofcourse ,i also very fancy your white legend in AE green. and prefer to your novel keys. too many novel key may higher the price. If we keep several novel key at different height(R1,R2,R4),we could strike a perfect balance between novel key numbers and low price.Show Image(http://i4.piimg.com/567571/c5aa076ae8bb60d8.png)
My input is that you should market the kit at all the popular 40-something % boards that are out there. It'll take more work but I think it'll garner more interest. If you go that route I suggest dropping 'Alt Gr', 'Minivan', 'Turbo' and maybe even 'Hack' so you can cover as much compatibility per key as possible.I completely agree with this. I think this is what I originally meant, but couldn't find the words from it. The group of people that have MiniVans is pretty small, and even a smaller percentage of those would consider a mod kit therefore the set needs to target all small boards to even become fathomable.

+1
I'm looking to build a set for the JD40/45.

I'm still thinking about this, but I'm also thinking about doing a MiniVan GMK set maybe along side R3. We will see though
In my personal opinion having the correct profile comes first, then not having a contradictory legend second. So I wouldn't mind settling for blanks in some positions. Seeing as it's a programmable board I think it would be good having one blank option for each of the R4 sized keys. Possibly a board-neutral legend like 'Hack' would work if you don't want to offer blanks.
BUT, you are a 40% expert :D It could be good to see some of the possible layouts you can support with the current key choices in the OP. Maybe some mockups like this (with the alpha keys grayed out) showing the versitility of the kit?Show Image(http://i.imgur.com/Z5w5FL2.png)
From the mockups in the OP it's a bit hard to where you see each key being utilized.
EDIT: With all that being said, I'm interested! Just like I'm interested in getting my hands on a Van44.
