Greetings!
I been lurking on the forums for several months now and I had recently acquired an IBM M4-1 keyboard
I did not realised that that it is sold without the SDL keyboard cable until I received it in the mail
Anyway, I'm based in Melbourne, Australia- south-east suburbs - would be great if I can borrow one from a local geekhack in the area
Don't want to invest one from unicomp incase the keyboard wasn't working
Thanks heaps!

Welcome to Geekhack!
You might give A1 Used Computers a buzz, they sell Model M/F keyboards (although their stock was drastically reduced recently). They don't list cables, but I'm given to understand they do have lots of bits lying around. http://www.a1usedcomputers.com.au/
Spending a few dollars won't hurt. If you really want a Model M you're bound to end up with another one eventually, and then you'd already have a cable!

If you plan on using the track point on that M4-1 you'll need a dual SDL cable.
