Title: Hidey ho clackers!

Hi! I am reacquainting myself with PC gaming. Used to game on my PC a lot when I was younger. Mostly PS4 as of late. What is the hands down best mechanical keyboard for a noob?

Best keyboard is really relative. You are going to need to provide us with some criteria of what you prefer before we even start to suggest a keyboard for ya.

Thanks. I always start down that path, then get lost looking for the different Topre switches, now I just learned about ALPs. Need to focus. Thinking to do a build. TKL Phantom board looks like a good option. I think the red cherry's will work.

The "best" keyboard is entirely subjective.

Some people like really heavy switches, some prefer really light switches.

Backlighting?  Love it or hate it.

Layout - QWERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, Asetniop?  Although the latter might not be the most ideal for gaming ;)

Full size?  TKL?  60%?  40%?  Dedicated arrow keys required?  Function keys required?

There are too many options these days :))  But if you can provide a few minimum requirements and maybe someone can come up with a keyboard that meets them.
