nah, modern society has watered it down enough

in fact i'd wager if someone said "I strongly dislike Edna" it would come across as more meaningful than if they said "I hate Edna" even though 'strongly dislike' is not as potent a word(s) as 'hate'

I was amused when my ex exclaimed she "hated" me. It almost felt better than her non-love she gave me.

that seems unlikely..

Dramatic changes in biological form is not as likely as transcendence into a purely mechanical body.
