Title: Ducky Shine 3 replacement Face Plate
Post by: sotf on Mon, 01 August 2016, 16:40:46
I purchased a used ducky shine 3. Unfortunately, the seller packed it awfully and it arrived with a crack on the corner of the faceplate. I feel I got it at a good price and prefer the white LEDS. I will likely wait a month or two until I find it again. As such, I am looking at options for replacing the faceplate. It is a tiny crack at the top left but enough to bother me. Right now the only option I see is purchasing a "as is/for parts" and removing the faceplate. I see silicon case covers were previously available but I can find no source for actual ABS faceplates. Do these ever sell here for people parting their keyboards out or elsewhere? as is/for parts boards will cost too much.

I could glue/sand/plasti dip the faceplate as well. How viable is plastic dip on keyboards? I don't collect/mod keyboards so I don't know if this has pitfalls longterm (durability).
