The seller wrote me, that there's no label at the bottom.
He does not know if it is an M.
Can you identify it by means of that picture?
Thanks.

A buckling spring 1391403, made between '87 and '92.
Might not be in the best condition, mind you.

If he says it clicks, then probably. It certainly looks like one compared to my 1391406.

He said it clicks.
Thanks for your help.
I will take my bike (letting my spike tires click on the icy roads in Berlin :) to get it.

They didn't make rubber dome Model Ms when that keyboard was made, so you're safe. The more pertinent issue with something that banged up looking is spring wear.

I've been stupid/trustfull.
The seller just told me, that he will not longer offer the IBMs directly (on a local selling plattform in Berlin), but will put them into Ebay, because there he expect to get a better price.
Before I told him, he didn't know of "Model M" at all.

Yea but banged up as they are the seller may have a hard time selling them. It will really depend on how many are listed right now and what kind of condition the other ones are in.
But you also learned a hard lesson don't educate the seller. Just ask for a picture of the keyboard front and back then decide. Sometimes you can ask them to pull a key but that may make them think they have something you want or someone else may want. I've gotten some of my best deals on keyboards from sellers that did not know what they had.

Looks like the upper one has two missing keycaps (F1 and F4), the other a mismatch (F12). Doubt he'll get much for these.
