Hi all!
I've been drooling over keyboards for a while now and am finally going to start taking a dive in to the dangerously addictive world.
I've been looking for an Australian community but it doesn't seem to exist, any other Aussies on here? Queenslander!

Welcome to Geekhack!
There's more of us here than you think, although most seem to be in NSW or WA. Nevertheless there's a couple of very active Queenslanders around.
In fact there's even been a Sydney meetup!
PCCG (in Melbourne) and MechKB (https://mechkb.com/ - in Sydney) are probably the two better places to look for keyboards in Australia, MechKB especially.
Apart from that, get ready for excessive shipping costs from the US, and enjoy your stay :)

G'day, fellow Melbourne newbie here too. I've had a mechanical for a while as a gaming keyboard, but finally making the jump to using it full time as work KB as well.

I've just ordered a V60 with blues that I'm expecting to arrive tomorrow. Also got some key caps on the way.
Next up I'm going to see if I can carbon wrap the top plate and then replace the case.
Pretty keen to get in to it all! I had a k70 RGB when they released but wasn't a fan of the reds it was using.

Queenslander here, originally from NSW but also lived in the NT.

Let us know how you go and post pics of the finished result. I'm keen to do similar mods to either a pok3r or v60, need to read up a little more about each board.

Carbon-wrap the plate? You'd need to remove all the switches for that.
Hydro-dipping is another option, and you wouldn't have to worry about the corners lifting.
