Quite a lot of money for a grimy old White Alps board. I somewhat doubt that those switches are in great condition.
-
The build quality of these old Northgate boards is what makes this worth getting.
-
as much as i want other alps switches (and an omnikey ), $72.85 isn't the best shipping price xD.
either way, it's not that badly priced if you live in the USA.

That's the painful consequence of living in the UK. Trans-Atlantic shipping is insane :(

i've found model Ms on ebay in america for $25... problem is shipping is about $45... not worth it but at the same time it is worth it.

My experience too. it's infuriating to see great keyboards for 20 quid, only to see that the shipping is 2-3 times the price again.

it is really hard to find the keyboards i'm looking for that are in the UK just so i don't over pay.
the best thing i got vintage keyboard related that was over seas was a chicony kb5181 with Cyrillic caps. i paid £8 but £22 shipping. still worth it just for the plate with the switches alone, i guess.

5181 is interesting because it came with every switch under the sun. What did you get?

luckily, 3 keycaps were missing so i knew before i purchased. they are blue / green SMKs. being honest, im not that satisfied. they feel great but i was expecting more like alps. ive used some clicky alps before and i much prefer them which is why i am on a quest to get a clicky alps board that i will keep.

The build quality of these old Northgate boards is what makes this worth getting.
but not $100 in this condition
-
This is pretty much for conus buyers only, Shipping really kills this. Shipping ofr me is ~15$, so 70$ is a good price for one of these boards.
-
My NIB white Alps switches are crying for me to buy this.

This is the primo chassis to transplant your favorite Alps switches into.

The would definitely be much better than the board they are in now, which uses a PLASTIC mounting plate... :blank:
