The keyboard is a sentraq S60-X. It was in my laptop bag and fell and hit the floor pretty hard. It happened just before I was leaving on vacation so I didn't test it or anything, just put it in the bag and left.
When I got back I went to use the board and found it is not being recognized at all. I tried just plugging as well as trying to use the programming button but neither are recognized. Also, after I unplug the board, no other device I plug into that usb port will be recognized until I restart the computer.
I got around to taking the board apart today. At first everything seemed in place but then after comparing with a fresh unused pcb, I noticed there is a component missing near the controller. I'm not sure what this is but I'm thinking this might have something to do with the board not working. Can anyone tell me what this component is and where I might be able to find a replacement?
Worst case scenario I can get another pcb... but that means desoldering and then re-soldering all of the switches... I'd much prefer to just replace the missing piece if possible.
TLDR; What is this component that is missing and where can I get a replacement?

Looks like the capacitor that is connected to the UCAP pin. It is needed for the built in 3.3v regulator that is used to drive the USB data lines. It needs to be 1microfarad.

Probably ask https://www.reddit.com/user/vinnycordeiro (https://www.reddit.com/user/vinnycordeiro) for a part number.

Thanks for the quick reply. Makes sense why nothing happens when I plug the board in. Anyway I created an account over on reddit and sent a message. Hopefully I will hear something soon.

If you can measure the size of the capacitor you can probably find one the same physical size from Digikey or mouser.
This is a filtered list on the 1microfarad/ceramic/surface mount capacitors they have. http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/capacitors/ceramic-capacitors/131083?k=capacitor&k=&pkeyword=capacitor&pv69=453&FV=3405f9%2Cfff40002%2Cfff8000b%2C380004%2C380022&mnonly=0&newproducts=0&ColumnSort=0&page=1&stock=1&quantity=0&ptm=0&fid=0&pageSize=25 (http://www.digikey.com/product-search/en/capacitors/ceramic-capacitors/131083?k=capacitor&k=&pkeyword=capacitor&pv69=453&FV=3405f9%2Cfff40002%2Cfff8000b%2C380004%2C380022&mnonly=0&newproducts=0&ColumnSort=0&page=1&stock=1&quantity=0&ptm=0&fid=0&pageSize=25)
Look at the dimensions column and find one that matches.

Thanks for the help guys.
I got a reply from Vinny so no need to measure (but good idea anyway). I need a 1uF (1 microfarad) 0805 SMD capacitor.
