Just made an account, starting to look at upgrading from an old Razer BWU Stealth I bought years ago. This place has a TON of info, came here from reddit.
Cheers!

I've been looking at a few different keyboards, from the WASD V2, Leopold FC900R, to the Ducky One and Ducky Shine 6 which should be coming in a couple months I believe?
I also just came across seeing the Penumbra keycaps for the first time today and I'm hooked.

Do you have a moment to speak about the wonders of the happy hacking keyboard?

Welcome to Geekhack!
Although some people like the Razer, a lot of people have had many issues with them. From that perspective almost any keyboard will be a step up.
The thing is that there are so many to choose from. One approach is to decide what size keyboard (full size, TKL, 60%, 40%, or something between), what layout (probably US ANSI for you, which makes things considerably easier), what switches, LEDs or not, and then see what's available in that combination.
And also to go to a keyboard meeting up you can, as it's a great opportunity to try lots of different keyboards as well as meet many enthusiasts :)
