Title: What's your favourite greater-than-fullsize keyboard?
Post by: chyros on Tue, 30 August 2016, 06:36:11
OK, so this is way too much fun to not give its own topic. What is your favourite keyboard that's greater than fullsize? I'm thinking battlecruisers and bigger here :) . I love massive keyboards like this so I have quite a few in this category I really like xD .

I saw a green alps board with a sun type 5 layout on taobao, really regretting not buying it. Not sure if it counts as a battlecruiser, but its bigger than fullsize.

Compaq compatibles scanner and keyboard.  Ran it hard for 10+ years on its sweet cherry blues and loved it. Passed it onto my little brother that beat on it solid for another 5 years every time he died FPS games.  Its still alive in a closet somewhere, never died, not one key. Picked it up at the Compaq outlet in Houston around 1996. Cost was about $30.

Surprised to find a handful on eBay, new and used from $40-$85.  Cant imagine those are selling too much.

It is a standard full-size. The wrist rest is 20" long, a Model M is 19" and a 122-key terminal is 22" (with case).

I really liked the look of that Sun keyboard with the Fujitus you reviewed. Gorgeous keyboard. I especially love the sharp keycaps.

I'll just stick with a boring old Model M 122, which I haven't had a chance to get working yet.  Or keycaps, my local source kinda dried up.
