Any chance to get this baby (http://cgi.ebay.de/Orginal-IBM-Tastatur-fuer-AS400-AS-400-Neuwertig_W0QQitemZ220538528438QQcmdZViewItemQQptZM%C3%A4use_Tastaturen?hash=item33591ee2b6) to work with a PC? Description says no cable included, but I sense making a cable might be the easiest part.

Ask him what the product number is. If it's of the form 1397xxx then it's PS/2 compatible.
In fact, I'm almost certain it would be anyway. Only the PS/2 compatible terminal keyboards had detachable cables.

Thank you ch_123! "Most likely" ist good enough for me, I'll take the risk.
Guess I'll have to reinforce my 20yo Ikea desk for this monster. :biggrin1:

Of course, it could be a fixed cable model where the cable had been chopped off for some reason or another... If it does have an SDL port, then a standard Model M cable will do just fine.
Incidentally, forgot to mention, the presence of lock lights makes it even more likely that it is a PS/2 compatible keyboard.

My new toy just arrived. It's a 1397003.
The seller didn't lie, it's in brand new condition. No fingerprint, not a grain of dust outside or inside, and zero broken rivets. Must have slept in some spare equipment closet for the last 15 years.
Annoyingly the vanilla Model M I won ten days ago still hasn't arrived, so I have no cable yet.

We all hate you now, a wee bit.

Love you too. Did I mention I got a Marquardt Ergo yesterday?
