They just resemble the v1 verrrrry closly.

Then again neither party had the rights to the product.

they used to be listed as bbv1s a year+ ago when i was watching taobao. last time i looked when this subject was brought up, they had just started labeling them as optimuses though.

regardless, i'd wager all of these keycaps came from your standard taobao knock-off store, as you can typically find these four designs (bbv2, hammer skull/hellboy, optimus) at them. aka top post by a varmilo company rep.

They're the ones sold on TaoBao.  They're "fakes" in that I think they call them BroBots and use the same Optimus Prime head, but are shaped differently and don't have the more obvious blending of cap and face the V1 had.  The V2 is probably a fake as well.

Yep, I bought it on Taobao few months ago while I do the market research, and just try it today haha. But I forget the name of the Taobao store. BTW, I have left varmilo and will not be their rep.

Yep, I bought it on Taobao few months ago and I don't know V1 before. There are lots of caps like these on Taobao as well, If they are fake I will stop buying them haha.
