Howdy GH! Now that I use my MacBook Pro as a desktop, I'm looking to get a new keyboard for it. The Bluetooth iPad keyboard I'm using right now needs an upgrade. I'm a proud HHKB owner, but I want to switch it up this time, especially since the price of HHKB has gone up.
Switch type:
I like tactile and clicks switches (Blues or Clears), but would be willing to try ALPS or Gaterons.
Keyboard size:
Anything from a 60% form factor to a TKL, including some of those odd 75% layouts. I'd prefer 60%, but again, I want to switch things up.
Keycaps:
DSA or stock profile (not sure what it's called)
Price:
$200 or under, but as cheap as possible
Thanks!

Can't go wrong with the CM Quickfire Rapid
https://www.amazon.com/Storm-QuickFire-Rapid-Tenkeyless-Mechanical/dp/B00C2MBG2U
It comes in a variety of switches, if you want clicky go with either MX Blue or MX Green. The difference between them is that MX Greens are significantly heavier.

How about Clears? I know WASD stocks them

the original ipad pro keyboard is **. I hate the feeling when I type on that keyboard. I suggest you using brown or blue switch of Cherry MX.It seems you like small keyboard which easy to catch with but not for game player or programmer. You can have a try (FILCO) FKBN87M/EWG2, I am using this one.. Talk about the keycap, You can DIY it.

It's a Zagg keyboard, and yeah, typing on my HHKB after typing on that thing feels like Heaven! I'm technically a "programmer", but not a gamer. The Filco looks pretty nice, but what's the difference between it, and say, a WASD Keyboard? Just brand name?

Wow, I wasn't aware that Pok3r came in an RGB variant. That looks sweet!

MX Clears are very unique feeling, they're worth a try at least.

How would they stack up against Blues? Just heavier?

The unique feature of MX Clears is that after actuation they very quickly stiffen up, this is done to help prevent you from bottoming out. If you can teach yourself to type properly on them they actually make you type very lightly and delicately.
The bump is a bit weaker than MX Blues and more rounded feeling, and they're also a bit scratchier than MX Blues. And of course they're not clicky.

RGB is new, it's only been out for a few months at most. Looks like it's out of stock on mechanicalkeyboards.com :/

Hmm, not sure if I'd like that then. I love to bottom out each key.
