Hi guys!
Does exist on the market an arrow cluster USB? Or something like that...
Because one friend has a pok3r, but he need the arrow stand alone.

I don't know about just a USB nav, but how about getting a USB numpad? They're quite easy to get hold of :) .

This is very cool, but I think too expensive for him, to import ecc...ecc..
Also a rubber dome arrow will be ok I think...

Try to turn off the Num Lock. ~_^

If there is a num lock key on either the numpad or the keyboard, then yes, you can do that. Shouldn't need any programming either.
There was a time there were no arrow keys, you know. People could only use arrow keys with the numpad. Nowadays both are present separately on keyboards so num lock is virtually useless, but for situations like this you can still use it ;) .

It's not so bad, you know. I much prefer the old XT and AT layouts from the 80s (with a numpad but no nav/arrow cluster) to today's 60% layouts. I genuinely hate those. TKL is easier than navless, but much less useful, IMO.

When do you tend to use the numpad for navigation? On 100% keyboards I tend to hit NumLock once or maybe twice a day and that's only to enable numbers if my computer decides to forget I enabled them on reboot. You must be hitting it all the time if you're using the actually nav functionality. I think part of that is because I mostly do text editing, if you're doing spreadsheet work I suppose that would be another matter.
As an Emacs user 60% = 80% = 100% in terms of usefulness, generally speaking. Who needs arrows/nav cluster when you have Ctrl+{f, b, p, n} :p

On 100% layouts I never use num lock. I use both the nav and the numpad extensively, however.
On navless layouts this means I constantly use the num lock key to toggle between the two. XT boards have the unfortunate limitation that you can't see which of the two is active, however Oo .
Sometime in the future I'll be reviewing a board with a particularly weird hybrid layout that shows there was a really awkward transition moment xD .

For gaming, I use the numpad nav for navigation. 8 buttons excluding the centre 5 is a lot more useful to me than the inverse T nav. Also I don't use mouse while gaming, except to call up menus that the stupid programmer didn't assign to a keyboard command.

If you map Ctrl to Caps then you rarely have to move your hands from the home row so it's more ergonomic in that sense. Ctrl + { F for Forward (one character, right arrow), B for Back (one character, left arrow), P for Previous (line, up arrow), N for Next (line, down arrow), E for End of Line (End), A for Beginning of Line (Home), H is Backspace and D is Delete }, then you have PgDn and PgUp in Ctrl-V and Meta-V (respectively).
