Aero Press (https://www.amazon.com/Aeropress-Coffee-and-Espresso-Maker/dp/B0047BIWSK/) and/or French Press (https://www.amazon.com/SterlingPro-French-Coffee-Press-Chrome/dp/B00DUHACEE/) + Hario Grinder (https://www.amazon.com/Hario-Ceramic-Skerton-Storage-Capacity/dp/B001802PIQ/) = Heaven
FWIW I have a similar setup above, as well as a Keurig, and I'd say I use them almost equally, if not the Keurig more thanks to the convenience.
I always hear pods are bad for the environment and a huge waste of money vs buying bean.
And now they have DRM on some coffee makers making it even more like a scam. Won't brew off-brand pods, so you are limited to specific ones.

Espresso is coffee end game. But then you start with a $200 espresso machine, and start to lust after the $600 machine. Then you need a good grinder. Pretty soon you have more invested in your coffee than your car. And that's not even "end game".
No, I'm not addicted.
Mfw I gotta just hit heroine instead of coffee, but only tiny amounts

Do they make it in easy extended release tablets?

Itty bitty needles with tiny doses of heroine
I just got some death wish coffee k-cups they're ok.
I wonder if there's more high-functioning heroine addicts or meth addicts. You might assume meth off the bat, but there are some very prolific heroine junkies through history.

I think functional junkies last longer. I knew a couple fellow programmers back when, who crossed the line between recreational and need-it-to-function. They could crank out code like mad, for a while. But they eventually were fired for general unreliability and weirdness. Not sure what ever happened to them.

Started with a regular old drip machine. Then I discovered a French press and ditched the drip machine. Then last year I got an espresso machine and I have not looked back.
Got a breville bes870xl .. It is entry level for espresso machines but at $600 is a great price and it has a very nice grinder as well.

Haha, there's what I was talking about. Next year you'll be looking at a separate grinder and an e61 machine...

It says Highly-addicting on their website.
Did you become addicted after experiencing that 600milligrams of caffeine ??
I've heard the Aeropress/french press things are pretty great for portable coffee making.
I'm not sure why but the coffee from my keurig at work tastes way better than my keurig at home. I've been using the same Solofill K3 cups for years. Love those things.

Aeropress is pretty cool for portable. My brother has one and I've used it sometimes camping. I prefer a french press over it though when I am camping because I get more coffee at once. The only thing about french press is most are glass and they are easy to break. I've shattered like 1000 of them. If you are going to get one for traveling do yourself a favor and get stainless steel.
What's the equivalent of these things but for tea.
Ur like an Asian right you should know something about tea. I want to waste money on tea tell me what to waste money onWhat's the equivalent of these things but for tea.
Nothing like coffee, because tea is made at lower temperatures / pressures
They got a line of """Stuff"" like Yixing teapots , jade tea cups (shotglass size) , standard elite bull****.
Agree with others that aeropress + adjustable grinder + electric kettle is near the best you can do for a cup of coffee. The double bonus is that it's about as cheap as you can get too so long as you're not drip brewing folgers.
Espresso at home is for the very serious only, I think. The cheap machines aren't worth anything at all, and a good pull only starts to become available with 4 figure machines, or highly modified and customized versions of more economical machines. Granted, I live 3 blocks from Four Barrel and not everyone does, but I can buy a whole lot of shots that someone else pulls, with perfectly fresh beans everytime, for the price of the GS3 machine that they use ($6k... It's La Marzocco pro model "for the home")
All that said, I'm seriously considering picking up an Espresso Forge.

Just saw the video of the GS3 on youtube with the panels off.. Doesn't look like $6000 worth of electronics in there...Show Image(http://emoticoner.com/files/emoticons/onion-head/hehe-onion-head-emoticon.gif?1292862507)

Tea is a different beast though. With espresso the gear literally makes the drink.
Have been chatting with a few folks about making an open source espresso machine. A big part of the costs are in the group head and boiler - running a machine at 12 bar repeatedly and trusting that it doesn't blow up takes more work than you think.
Currently run a GS3 and EK43 - tonnes of fun to play with but I'm mostly a pour over kind of guy.
