I decided to move on from the Dolch Base colors due to a number of currently running sets using the Dolch colorway. I decided to have a 1 tone base color keys and retain the Alpha/modifier colors in the original render.

New name is now GMK Viola...

Still the same layout to support:
- 1800
- ANSI
- TKL
- ISO
- 60%
- 75%
- HHKB

Submitted already to GMK to get the final render and quote.

Initial render from GMK, finally :cool:.

What do you guys think? thinking of adding additional colored caps for Enter and Esc. Let me know if there is anything else you guys would like to add in the set.

Trying making a set, well, actually making a different theme of an existing set :-p and since dolch is such a basic set and giving it vibrant colors looks really nice (to me) so i decided to use it and try make something that would look in my perspective. Was aiming violet and purple but since GMK doesnt have violet, i used their magenta as it would be the closest.

Dont really know how this would work but would like to get the community opinion first to see if this can really happen :p

The keys are still to be completed and will update the list of layout and keys to be included below.

Base color is dolch colorway
Mod legend: DY
Alpha legend: MG1

Layout to include (TBC):
- 1800
- ANSI
- TKL
- ISO
- 60%
- 75%
- HHKB

Things to do:
- Change mods from icon to legends (Almost done?)
- Add 1.75 rshift for 1800 layout (Done)
- Update F row keys color (Done)
- Add Purple and Magenta keys for Enter and Esc keys (Done)

just trying different combination but definitely the esc and enter would have the same color for mods.

Looks great. As long as a normal enter is also provided.
A spacebar in that purple would also be cool but not really a priority.

I'm sure it will look a lot different in person, but the purple is hard to look at for me. I got the same effect when I got miami keycaps. The contrast between the cyan and pink was just to hard to look at for me for some reason. I love purple and I love the look of these so hopefully the actual physical keycaps won't be so hard on the eyes for me.

Yeah definitely, i'll try to see how it would look like in a proper 3d render and change some colors if it will look bad.

I was never a huge fan of Dolch (don't murder me please), but the bright pink font might look real good on this...

I'm always a little wary of GMK renders but the colours on that one actually look very nice!

PS: Need a 1.75u rshift personally but I guess you're not done with adding keys; I'd love the enter/esc (arrows and others also welcome) accented colours too like you had in the initial mockup, gives the dolch a bit of flair. ^-^

Hello sir, thanks! and may i ask what layout would be 1.75u rshift for? Just so i can add to the list of supported layout.

Also i think i would change the mods to have legends instead of icons. Would be adding some more keys in magenta and purple base color.

1.75 shifts are used in 1800 layouts and a lot of 60~75% mini keyboard layouts..etc

lol thanks! i forgot to add that one for the 1800 which i tot its already there. It seems the only rshift i added is for ISO.

Will take note of this as i have 2 1800 kb coming as well. :thumb:

I suggest the addition of the following R4 keycaps:

- extra 2.25u Shift and 1.25u Lock for the Leopold 660/Clueboard
- 1u Ctrl and Alt (1800)

Camper's renders are truly something else. That said, the set is as beautiful as I expected it to be, usually partial to DSA/SA over GMK/DCS but this is an instant buy as it was the moment you announced it a couple months back.

Added HHKB support.

Also corrected first render with included keys and color option.

Only discrepancy now is the mods to have legends+icons just like 3d render. If GMK agree with it else it would just be legends.

Let me know if anything else is needed and ill add it today and will send this to GMK for a new render request and have it quoted.

Still looking good despite the move away from Dolch. Plus beautiful renders. :)

The KLE mockup has a duplicate R1 magenta on grey 1u `~ keycap. It also seems it has the wrong colors for the inverted R2 1.5u \| cap.
