Hmmmm..... the "Maybach of Keyboards" (http://www.caradvice.com.au/9243/unbelievable-maybach-sales-in-australia/) And another foreigner rubbing in the low value of the dollar.
Congrats. I'm typing on one right now. Great keyboard.
I would have suggested the Lexus of keyboards but after that nasty accelerator incident, that might imply that the Return key could stick and cause you to have to power down the PC.
It sounds like you are about to move to Stage 2 keyboard addiction. Stage 1 is collecting 'boards of different switches, layouts, etc. to try them all out. Stage 2 occurs when one or two favored types are found, and you start collecting multiple keyboards of those one or two switches (rdjack21 is deep into Stage 2 with Topres and webwit with BS). It doesn't necessarily mean that Stage 1 ever truly passes, but the addiction evolves.
It's got practical values
As addictions go, this one isn't too bad. It's got practical values, and in the grand scheme of things, it's not terribly expensive.
If I see you in 20 years selling your IBM Mini collection on "Holland Antiques Roadshow" for $150,000 I am gonna complain about our stolen culture.
...I hope this is my last keyboard purchase. I really have no other serious desires after this...
I'm purely collecting Tulip keyboards.Show Image(http://www.tulipgv.nl/ts1.gif)
Which tulips?
That is, until you have about 5 keyboards per PC in your houshold/office. Now that I am pretty much in Stage 2, there's some 'boards in my collection that need new homes. I might list them in the marketplace, soon.
Pictures?
Psst. I'll buy your g80-3000 off of you or your g86-spos =) PM if those go on sale.
My GF's Cherry is nice. Her's is soft-touch, so I don't need to use a lot of force when inputting. The action is very smooth.
How about "the Acura of Keyboards"
I would have suggested the Lexus of keyboards but after that nasty accelerator incident, that might imply that the Return key could stick and cause you to have to power down the PC.
Besides, my wife drives an Acura MDX and Acuras retain more value than any other luxury brand.
And yes, I'm also typing on an 87U right now - it really is an outstanding keyboard.
Whats an Acura?
Whats an Acura?
I bought a mini cooper s in 2003 for 50,000 and its still worth around 30,000 today (in Australia anyway). Hows that for value!
Unless that was intended to be sarcastic, it's Honda's luxury division (like Lexus is for Toyota). I don't know if they sell them in Australia or not.
