Title: Keycaps for a Filco Manila Air
Post by: Saint Chewy on Mon, 26 September 2016, 17:16:22
Hi everyone I am looking to buy a Filco Manila Air for my wife. She loves my mechanical keyboard and wants to get her own. She has her rig connected to our TV so the mech needs to be wireless. The Manila Air looks to be the perfect size for a being able to game from the couch. I am pretty much set on getting this board however I would very much like to get some keycaps for it that arent complete garbage.

Thats where my problem comes in at. Odd keycaps size make it difficult to find anything. So I come asking for help. Could anyone point me in the right direction to look for keycaps to fit this board? My wife loves purple if that helps. Or maybe if someone could inform me of a board that is smaller then a TKL and is bluetooth? That would also help me out.

You'd be best on PMK (http://pimpmykeyboard.com/blank-key-packs/).

Or get a HHKB BT. That's the best.

How about royal kludge? They have a 60% bluetooth if i recall.

Sadly there's non that's readily available unless you choose blanks. With blanks still need to source the spacebar. PMK have a 3U brown SA spacebar and ebay have a white cherry 3u. Only SA Retro gb did cover this. Also there's an on going IC for the odd caps but no idea if and when its gonna happen.

it's really freaking hard to get a keyset for a minila

easier now then it was when i had one, but still a huge pain

PMK is your best bet, like mentioned above

It's a pain, but it is doable. You're probably better off with SA or DSA profile for the 3u spacebar options. Fortunately the 1u and 2u shifts aren't that uncommon for the 40% boards and the 1.75 control is very common for caps replacement. I know I can put granite and sa retro on mine.
