So I just realised that the keyboard i purchased that hasn't arrived is not a ps/2. I didn't even realise that SGI had their own proprietary ports that isn't PS/2. I'm a bit annoyed because it looked exactly the same as the SGI granite that is a ps/2.

Anyway does anyone have any experience in converting the SGI to a PS/2? is it a matter of pin mapping or is it more complicated than that?

Does anyone have an ideas?

I got one of these too. It arrived today. It does not include a cable! I knew it was not compatible. I have an old sgi 9500900. I am hoping i can switch controllers or smith like that.
Worst case scenario i will use the new keycaps and the new upper casing part. This a reddit post about the same problem

Easiest might be to get a cheap Dell AT101 and use the innards from that one. You might have to reroute cables and stuff though.
Alps switches can be opened from the top without desoldering so you could transplant the sliders, springs and tactile leaves between the two.

Or... do what I did: find a SGI collector in your area and ask him if he has a vintage keyboard that he wants to trade.:)
