Title: RedScarf II Ver. B Backlight?
Post by: 15kuhnr on Sat, 15 October 2016, 19:23:56
I have recently purchase the Redscarf II Version B, and after quite a bit of searching I wasn't able to find a good tutorial on layout editing. I am trying to figure out how to make a layout where one of the function keys turns the keyboard backlight on and off. Any tips and advice would be awesome! Thanks

TKG Chrome App (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/tkg-chrome-app/kmbmjdabhpdnpeobnbdchihdcdaccidi) works the best.  You have to make your layout on KLE (http://www.keyboard-layout-editor.com/) if you didn't already.  Once you set up your layers, you can set up your function keys.  The dropdown menu will let you set-up your backlight toggle.

I'm not the greatest at explaining, if you need any more help, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Here's a quick example layout:

Function keys were set to the left cluster.  You can then set them to whatever you want.

I can not thank you enough! This is exactly what I needed. I'll post pictures when I get all the backlight LEDs soldered in. Thanks again!
