COUPON CODE: XTBNMORJ
Seems that each key is actually individually RGB controllable. Looks like SMD IC LEDs. Curious how they manage power consumption.

Every LED board manages power consumption with PWM. Essentially the LEDs are strobed at a frequency so fast that it's invisible and inaudible (as sometimes lower frequencies make a buzzing noise). 40 kHz+.

More a comment that's it's a $40 keyboard, so if they didn't QC well enough you'll burn out a USB port (or more) running this. You have to use some form of PWM to stay under 500ma but some ports will only provide 100ma which will definitely be an issue. Also, these addressable LEDs which they seem to be using draw more power than your normal 4 pin.

I'm actually surprised it took this long.

TKL version (https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_9?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1476985080&sr=1-9&keywords=Mechanical+Gaming+Keyboard) by the same company for $39.99

Fairly sure that one's just different color backlight per row, and not actually RGB backlighting. The ones that say "multicolor backlit" are usually like this.

Yep, the TKL is weirdly just different colored rows. I would understand if both were RGB or both were just colored rows, but I guess they decided to actually try for the fullsize and not the TKL.
