Nice non permanent modification but I'd be careful bending the cable too sharp or you might have some internal breakage.

That's an interesting solution. I didn't like the length of the cable or the fact it was attached, so I made some realforce cables that end in mini USB so it's like a semi detached cable. Mimic cables does them if you ask. That's another option I guess. You'd need another cable though. The convenience of it having a mini USB break is pretty nice though especially I'd you have many boards.

Interesting solution, but like Ray said, it's probably better to just buy a shorter cable.

I'm thinking of buying a micro USB breakout board and using one of those magnetic connectors to make my Realforce's cable removable.
That's for a little bit more down the line, but I think it'd be an elegant solution.

There's nothing worth saving about that cable, it's just a cable..
