Title: Should Caps / Artisan Caps have a separate classifieds page?
Post by: JustCallMeCrash on Sun, 06 November 2016, 04:46:34
I don't know about everyone else, but I'm having a bit of a 'forest for the trees' scenario with all these artisan keycaps.  It feels like that has really taken over the classifieds section and boards are being buried.  I think it's high time we give caps their own page so as not to overwhelm anything else anyone might be trying to sell.

I think this question/request/suggestion might meet with less resistance if flipped around: Should non-artisan caps have a separate classifieds page?

The undeniable fact is that the classifieds section more or less belongs to the artisan crowd, and unseating that sense of ownership will be nigh impossible. Better to suggest off-loading the conventional stuff to a new sub-forum instead. The end result is the same, but the artisan fans won't have a reason to feel violated.

It's not a good idea or not enough people care so it won't happen.

I'm relatively new to this community, so take this with a grain of salt.

I have no problem distinguishing between items in the classifieds. Subjects clearly indicate the item being sold/traded/bought. Also, this can lead to a slippery slope. Why not split out switches, cables, and so forth?

I like being able to peruse everything in one place. If anything, I think there could potentially be more consolidation, like auctions and group buys into one stream, so all sales regardless of type can be seen in one place.
