Title: Only Caps lock and Control key are working

I recently got an Apple Standard Keyboard (M0118)which I hooked up to my PC via an iMate adapter  and all keys except for the Caps lock and Control key are not working.
When I plug in a second, fully functioning keyboard simultaneously this problem occurs on that keyboard as well.
I also have an AEK II which is functioning flawlessly with the same adapter.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

Maybe the board itself is damaged

It can't be a coincidence that the same thing is happening with two keyboards. I'd guess the adapter. And try another USB port.
