Fact is it's made by matias, and their boards are usually good. the 508 is just a half board with a traditional layout.

It's begging for someone to just make an itty board to do the same thing. I'm sure TMK can handle the software load

It was made 4 pdas, so it's like other stupid bt boards.

I put a one-handed layout on the left side of my ErgoDox just because I could. Not that I ever use it though...

I actually want something to replace my Trackball (on the left side of my desk), but I have yet to find it. ^-^

And flipping half the keyboard is surprisingly intuitive. Go ahead and try it in your mind.

And price... well, it's pretty much the only one that offers this and since this probably doesn't sell huge numbers you have a smaller base to spread your R&D costs.

As for copying it, that would be a pretty ****ty thing to do.
