Title: MicroSD cards are Ripoffs

We got  4GB  to  5GB  per dollar on SSDs..

And yet a microsd card is 2-3GB/ 1$



The SSD comes with a Freaking CPU/ Ram and giant pcb relative to Microsd..

These samsung bastards making a killing on Microsd..

Size is not what we're paying extra for....


The package on the ssds are just as small, only they're soldered onto the board..



This is clear price fixing..

I recall that's because they need to make um thicker for more parallelism and increased write durability..

The node is just as small.

What really grinds my gearz..  is that I had to buy a $20 Sd card reader JUST TO TEST and make sure the SD-Card I get isn't a counterfeit..

So your deal on a card wasn't quite a deal after all.

An easier way to test is to just copy as much data as it should hold, or close, it will have massive errors when you do. If for some reason it does take most of the data, try accessing one of the larger files and see if it still works. I believe Linux can also show you the true size if you change the MFT, Windows makes it easier to fake it.

Actually, considering you are worried about it being fake, even though it passed for size, it can still be a counterfeit (even major stores have been ripped off this way) and/or a degraded/defective card that didn't pass a quality check. So while you got a deal on a big card, it may not last long.
