Title: Giving back 2016
Post by: Lain1911 on Sat, 10 December 2016, 16:58:47: This thread is a place where you can tell a story that happened this year (preferably near a holiday) that you did something nice or something you don't normally do for someone else. Just a couple of days ago I helped with purchasing and put together a PC for an 8th grader. The parents are family of a friend of mine and said their son's only present he wanted was a new PC. (You can ask about the new specs if wished but lets just say his old one was using an on board video card...) I know if I was in 8th grade and getting this I would be very happy :) Spreading the love of technology this holiday season. Merry Christmas.

Oh and by the way if the recipient of this computer is an unknown lurker on this site, please act surprised... :cool:

Hearing an inspiring story may make others go that little bit extra to create a smile. Not that my story is inspiring but I'm sure there is someone out there that can make a real difference.
