Hi,
Every body, it's a vacation in Taiwan from Feb 25~28.
So we update later.

After few sampling.
5 side dye-sub still has some issues.
Because of the height of the cap, the color is not very even on the side of caps.

So we'll change printing manufacturer but use origin tech to print it.
We fixed the spelling issue, and I make a new file of the design.
Origin file from designer has some small align issue and hard to fix.
So I just make a new one.
There's still 5% fail rate, to solve this, our partner will personally go to factory check and pick them.
We'll pick in our studio again after printing finish.
Update 2017 Jan 16th :

As the photo shows.
Some of the keys are not well printed (off center).
And we get another sample with other color from another manufacturer.
Quality is pretty nice, and it is 5 side dye-sub, better touch feeling.
And there's a major advantage - their model have more extras.
So, instead of pick failed caps by human, we might consider change manufacturer.
The designing is the same without any change.
But new sample has to wait till Chinese New Year ends.
We should get it with about Feb 20th.
Than we can start production after confirm.
We have some buffer on timeline at the beginning.
So every thing is still under control and no need for delay on delivery.
We will wait for the sample and make final decision on choosing manufacturer.
Worst case is don't change manufacturer, and pick failed keys manually.
But we hope we can produce better production in the end.

This GB is about a Elvish alpha keycap
Material : PBT
Profile : SA 223333(Based on Filco's)
Printing : top printed
This keycap set contain several tech of printing.
1. White caps are using dye-sub printing.
2. Green(Both light and deep) are dip-dye with white PBT caps
3. White legends on green caps are made by cutting from surface with laser, and origin plastic color shows up.
These techs make sure this cap has a nice quality and lifetime.

This keycap set has ANSI 104 keys and some extra
Alpha set, modify set aren't get enough interesting in the IC, so we won't have it this time.

Estimate Shipping : Mid Mar to Late Mar, 2017
(2 months from GB End, We hope we can finish it within 1 month after GB ends,

Actually, the issue you care about can't be fixed 100%.
The way to fix it is to pick those failed cap up.
Factories' yield rate is about 90%.
We might cooperate with another factory with more experience next time.
But it's because of they can make 5 side dye-sub printing with massive production, not because of yield rate.
Yield rate is pretty hard to increase.
When making the first sample, we only make 1 set.
And it's made by the plastic that is still under testing.
So it can't be picked up cause no replacement to take pictures.
And you can see some issues on the surface.
For the other issue like printing errors / plastic issues.
It will fix in next sample.
We'll take some more better pictures so that you guys can see it more clear.
And maybe we can found some more bugs together before starting massive production.
You can decide join or not after we post next sample.

We received the sample today.
I'll take some pics and upload later today.
Some issue has been fixed and it's better than first one.
But in my opinion, I'm still not satisfy.
It's still way off good production.
We might have to change factory which I'm satisfied with their sample on other product.
You can see the pics in this thread, it's the cherry profile keycaps from this factory :

The keycap and printing quality is both great, and they're able to make 5 side dye-sub printing.
So we can use it to get better touch felling than laser engraved mod keys.
This means third sample is necessary.
But Chinese New Year is coming and factory is going to have vacation.
So the guy who runs the factory tell us they can start process the sample on Feb 10.
They can finish it with in about 1 week. It also take 1 week for us to receive sample.
Than it takes about 10~ 15 days for mass production.
Because of change printing tech, the price might raise.
For orders already placed, we won't charge any additional fee if you still want to stay in this GB.
For new orders, we'll discuss with factory for pricing and change the price.
A good news is if we change factory, we'll able to get more extra keys.
Will list the extra list later :)

You'll find that some caps is not centered well.
This can be solved by pick failed caps by manpower.
But over all, the quality is not good enough.
So I want to change manufacturer and make is with 5 side dye-sub with inverse legend.

I mean I'd say refund them. I'm not trying to be mean or a downer, but this isn't even a groupbuy right now. There's now plan for who's going to be doing the dyesubbing, and we might even end up with a slightly different product than originally suggested because of it.

Hi, as we told, we'll have more extra now.
So the price will become higher.
But for guys already ordered and not cancel the order, we'll send the final set with all extras as new orders.
But we can't let anyone join the extra now cause we have to take a while to make some calculation.
And decide how many keys will end up add.
Or we'll lose too many money on upgrade those new orders...
As someone who has bought this why not stick with the same factory point out the flaws and just run the GB maybe even cherry pick keys like you said if thats possible. If we are switching factories and doing all this random stuff might as well refund and start from scratch.
The designing file is from us.
So the design will be the same :)
Cause after we received some samples from 3 factories.
A : Which were making sample for us with this Elvish.
B : Pretty nice quality and low quotation.
C : The one made camouflage sample, I received this sample after GB start O_Q.
A is way off quality compare to B and C.
B has only top printing tech.
C got higher price but the quality is impressive.
They can also do the same tech as first manufacturer(dip-dye + laser engrave) with same price.
But if there's better solution, I think I'll take the better one -0-

Well if its guranteed a new factory is going to handle the order and it is going to come out the same then by all means keep my money I honestly dont care how it gets done but if you are going to send us samples for the next 4 months and not sure which factory to choose and so on and so fourth might as well give us the refund cause its going to become odd and confusing. Plus I entered this GB under the impression he for the most part had things in order which I still have faith, but when you are changing things like this and theres a possible chance it keeps changing its not even the original Groupbuy cause who knows what the product is in the end. Keep my money and get it made

The top priority for us is not delay the delivery time.
But we have some buffer at beginning our plan.
So I think we have some chance to improve it.
I think most of buyers does not care who make this in the end.
What people care is what they get should be the same as they except.
We'll make a final decision during Feb.
If new sample is better, change manufacturer.
If not, pick failed caps manually.

Just a confirmation - this GB is still active for the 104 keys + 4 blanks? The link says it has ended on 1-10-2017 but looks like it still allows us to join? Have a fullsize with media keys that would go great with this set.

Sennin is switching manufacturers, and the new manufacturer does 5 side dyesubbing. So if the new sample is good, the modifiers will be reverse dyesubbed instead of laser etched as originally planned.
Sennin will have to let you know if the GB is still active, I don't know about that.

We've update the latest pictures of this GB.
It's much better than last sample after we make a new file.
But there's still 5% fail rate.
We'll pick those filed caps by hand after manufacturing.

Fonts, laser, and dye-sub is not good enough so we want to improve it.

The difference is in the shipping cost. When I asked about it about two months ago the tray cost $5 extra to ship. They tray/box is plan white with nothing special on it.

The result is not very good.

居然又歪了，這真的是很神奇，於是我又把這份檔案拿來，親自再修改一次，
才會搞到現在還在生產
其實我也超不爽，上周給他們一個比較嚴重的對話，
他們這樣搞也是影響我的信用，我根本很難跟人交代，
而且後面要開團的東西也沒辦法按照時程開始，
本來已經找到一個不錯廠家能做，雖然價格比較高，做出來會虧點錢，
但他們前兩個月都在忙著生產另一套東西，沒時間幫我做這套，
只好一步一步看他們到底哪裡出問題我自己下去改

Edit: that said, I still wouldn't ask for a refund but I am willing to pay the additional costs if any on top of my orders when I get mine too, this is definitely one of the sets I am really liking a lot that's not SP SA because of the Elvish legends used.

We're keeping ask for update from manufacturer, it's our responsibility.
It's the first time we run a GB with custom item.
We made a bad management for the quality control, and I'm totally not agree with the word from partner that he told me "This is okay".
So, I check the manufacturing several times try to figure out what goes wrong.
Finally I think I've spotted what cause the issue.
But it's delayed :(

Don't worry too much. The only other place we can get SA style caps puts our orders on hold for 9 months and tells us they wont be helping us do more for the rest of the year. ;)

Just today got a tracking update. Strange that it took so long. I got the tracking number + shipping estimate on June 5th.
If anyone is having trouble figuring it out, I used the site mentioned in the shipping email (http://www.17track.net/en/ (http://www.17track.net/en/)), and the tracking number. I chose "DHL (Asia) eCommerce" as the shipping provider. (If you hit Carrier and put in "DHL" in the search field, it should come up).

I don't think their email notification system is working properly, I haven't received any yet.
But, I did saw updates thru my account at their site and tracking numbers from there.

According to DoYu Studio, the manufacturer sent them 200 sets but only half of them is good enough to be sent out. So there are still 11 orders (mine is one of them) have not been fulfilled yet. The replacements for those orders are coming, and if everything goes on plan, they will be shipped out in 10 business days.
Edited: yea, I already suspected something not very right since yesterday when I see no update in my account.

I know that feel: my backspace key is unusable. It keeps sticking. Hopefully I'll be able to modify it to work. As much as I would like a replacement I think it would be too much trouble to send a single keycap overseas haha.
