I know right? ^^ In all fairness, these switches are fairly resistant to crap, though - it's a pretty robust design.

Is there any reason why you couldn't transplant these into the peerless keyboard?

Yes, Fujitsu Peerless is a dome with slider over membrane-backplate sandwich keyboard while leaf springs are a electromechanical PCB-mounted switch with different sliders, barrel plate, mount, etc. They have almost nothing in common whatsoever.

What are the chances this is a Fujitsu with leaf springs?  This one comes with an AT cable:

I went through some vintage Tandy computer catalogs looking for a part number and couldn't find it.  But while I was reading a strong rush of nostalgia came pouring back into me.  While most kids grew up with C64's, Spectrums, TI/99/4A's, Apple II's/etc. I had a TRS-80 Color Computer.  And seeing all those beige boxes really felt like home.

Most of the youth/public today have a completely different feeling about Radio Shack than I did in the 80's.

I'm not exactly sure I'd want to pay money for this keyboard as I'd mostly just want to try typing on it for the experience.  But **** me if a NIB/NOS shows up.

I've recently dug up my old Tandy 3000 keyboard (I don't know where a I got it, but I remember using it in the era of transitioning from Win 3.1 to Win 95) and I'm planning on cleaning it up a bit.

Does anyone have any advice for opening up these switches for cleaning? I've not tried yet, but I've never tried to service these kinds of switches before.
