This crap drives me up a wall. Blue boards are nearly ubiquitous, and in every size, so when I see someone buying a board with Reds and complaining they don't have blues, that just makes me go like...... huh???????
Not like you can't buy reds by themselves, or that they're not hard enough to find as is!!!
So, what gives when it comes to people buying Reds boards and replacing the switches? I mean.... why not buy a different board or build a GH60?
This is an honest question, because last I checked Reds were actually quite hard to come by.

Reds are quite common, though not enough as blue/brown over here it seems :( . Do you perhaps mean the the new corsair variants (speed/silent)? :-\

In the most recent episode of Top Clack (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RK8A18q2T44) a guest from Australia stated how expensive the shipping prices are as well as limited availability. It may very well be cost effective for some to swap the switches out.

labor would cost more than buying a new board.

Reds aren't hard to come by, neither are blues... Usually.
For some reason I tend to buy limited edition stuff and often those have limited switch options or the switch I want has been sold out.
Neither my KBT Race (white) or my Filco (pink) were available with Cherry Blues, so I ordered reds and blacks and ripped them out.

i went to an NCIX in vancouver and had like 5 different keyboards with reds in them, theyre not rare, at all. where do you live? maybe they're rare there?
